Day 1: Fez → Erg Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga)
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Fez through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
The first stop is Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Continue to Azrou, known for its cedar forests and Barbary macaques.
The route then takes you through the stunning Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and panoramic desert landscapes, before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon.
If time permits, you can enjoy an optional quad biking experience to admire the sunset over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Day 2: Explore the Sahara Desert
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music performed by the local community.
You will then have several options for the day: visit Rissani to taste the famous Medfouna, take a 4×4 excursion to explore volcanic rock formations and fossil sites, or meet a nomadic family to learn about their traditional desert lifestyle.
If you prefer a more relaxed experience, you can simply stay at your desert camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Dunes → Fez
Wake up early once again to enjoy the magical sunrise over the desert dunes. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Fez, crossing the Atlas Mountains and taking in the spectacular scenery along the way.
By evening, you will arrive in Fez, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
