Your journey begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Marrakech through the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you will visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an ancient fortified village renowned for its iconic red mudbrick architecture.
After exploring Ait Benhaddou, continue to Ouarzazate, where you will visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. You will also explore the renowned film studios, where many international movies have been filmed.
The journey then continues through the beautiful Dades Valley, with a stop in Kelaat Mgouna, a town well known for its rose production.
By the end of this long and captivating day, you will arrive in Boumalne Dades, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional kasbah hotel.
After a hearty breakfast at your kasbah hotel, you will travel toward Tinghir, a town surrounded by lush palm groves and dramatic mountain scenery. From there, continue to the impressive Todra Gorges, where you can admire the towering cliffs and enjoy a short walk through the canyon.
Afterward, continue through the desert region, passing through Erfoud and Rissani, a historic town known for its lively market and rich cultural heritage.
By the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga. Here, you will switch from your vehicle to camels and begin an unforgettable trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying dinner under the stars.
After leaving Merzouga, travel via Rissani and pass through traditional desert villages such as Alnif, N’Kob, and Agdz. Along the way, you will stop at the Trilobite Fossil Center in Alnif to discover fascinating prehistoric fossils.
