Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Transfer to Chefchaouen
Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, you will be welcomed by your private driver to begin your Moroccan tour. Start with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, an extraordinary example of Moroccan architecture. As the largest mosque in the country and the fifth largest in the world, it overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and can host up to 105,000 worshippers. Its minaret, standing at 210 meters, is the tallest in the world. After your visit, depart Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, and head north toward the blue city of Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Exploring Chefchaouen
Spend the day discovering Chefchaouen, famous for its blue-painted walls, doors, and windows. Unlike many Moroccan cities, it was once occupied by Spain, giving it a unique charm. Enjoy walking through its peaceful medina, meeting locals, and soaking in the relaxed atmosphere of this picturesque town.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes
After breakfast, travel south via Ouazzane toward Fes. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before meeting your local guide for a tour of the ancient medina, one of the largest walled cities in the world. Wander through narrow streets filled with fresh produce, spices, Berber carpets, and traditional crafts. Visit highlights such as the Royal Palace, the famous tanneries, and pottery workshops. At the end of the tour, transfer to your riad. Spend the evening exploring the lively medina. Overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 4: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, depart toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Travel through cedar forests, rugged landscapes, and traditional Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt, known for its fossils and minerals. Continue along scenic mountain roads overlooking the Ziz Valley, passing palm groves and kasbahs, and cross Errachidia. Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. In the evening, enjoy a camel trek across the dunes to your desert camp, where you will watch a stunning sunset and spend the night under the stars.
Day 5: Sahara Desert Exploration
Enjoy a full day exploring the Sahara Desert. Visit nomadic families, experience traditional Gnawa music, and discover the region by 4×4. In the afternoon, enjoy another camel ride through the dunes. Spend the night in a desert camp, surrounded by the beauty of the Sahara.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga. Continue your journey toward the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls reach up to 600 feet. After exploring the area, travel through scenic valleys and unusual rock formations, including the Tamnalt Hills, before reaching the Dades Valley. Overnight stay in the heart of the valley.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, head toward the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate. Travel along the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” and pass through the Skoura palm oasis. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic ksar used as a filming location for movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and continue to Marrakech.
